Message from the mayor

As Mayor of Carroll County, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our website and our community. I hope that our newly designed website offers easy navigation, as well as useful information.

The 599 square miles of Carroll County offer a wealth of opportunity to all that visit or call us home. With varied cities and communities amid friendly faces, stunning natural beauty and a productive economy, Carroll County is an outstanding place to live, work and raise a family. Two of the top twelve Tennessee Exemplary School Districts for 2014-2015 are in Carroll County: Huntingdon Special School District and McKenzie Special School District. Carroll County is also home to Bethel University. Bethel is one of the fastest growing universities in Tennessee. We have exceptional venues for family fun here in Carroll County. The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center is a state of the art theatre that offers Broadway style shows as well as a wide array of classes for all ages.

Carroll County's 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake offers fishing, boating, swimming and camping. Carroll County Shooting Sports Park is a full service facility for the recreational or competitive shooter. It offers 4 combo fields for trap and skeet, sporting clays, 8 pistol bays, 300 yard rifle range and a clubhouse perfect for meetings or corporate outings. Come and visit Carroll County and we will do our very best to make you feel right at home.
